Image of I Heart Coffee 3x4 Clear Stamp
Yep, These are the two sets I used on my card.  This is the first time I have inked them up and I just love them.  She has a chocolate lovers one too, so I added that in the order for me, lol.   I will be able to ship them out to anywhere in the continental United States just as soon as I receive them. Please be sure to leave a way to get in touch with you in your comment and check back here on March 9th.  I'm super excited to see what everyone else made and what their blog candy is too!

GlamZombie

Good Morning Friends and Stampers,

It's time for a New Challenge over at Loves Rubberstamps Challenge Blog.  This week we are asking you to show us your Ribbon and/or Lace.  And we are so happy to Have East Wind for our sponsor.  On behalf of the Design Team, I would like to thank East Wind for the fabulous images they provided the Design Team.

This is what I look like with no coffee, lol.  I love this image!  She was a lot of fun to color up.  I have the mixed media bug and since I had every thing out for yesterdays card, I decided I wanted to dress up the Dainty Lace Border.

On my craft sheet, I mixed the purple Gelato and the Black Gelato with some light modeling paste and applied it to doily die cut.   Then I added some glitter over that and lightly smooshed it into the mixture.   Then I let it dry.   This added some grungy glam to my Glamzombie card.

Now I talked about it all yesterday, so I won't go into the step by step again, about how I used all this. But I will say, what a treat clean up was!   I just took a baby wipe and wiped up that mess on the craft sheet and then I took the tools and cleaned them under running cold water.  Easy peasy.

For all the Faber Castell Gelato and mixed media products Laura sells in her store, see here.

I can't wait to see your fabulous projects with ribbon and/or lace.

Thanks for checking me,

Holly

Here is mine:

This is "Cutthroat Lizzie."  I had a whole design in my mind but once I got her background airbrushed, I liked it enough to stand alone.  the sword shield looks a bit fuzzy because my wink of stella pen went, "blob".   So she had a fur lined sword, lol.  I colored her with Copics and wink of stella for the sword, buckle, eye liner and earrings.

I hope you have a chance to play along!

Mixed Media Clouds

Hi Friends and Stampers,

Happy Holly-Day Monday.  I hope your week is off to a good start!!!  Today is my day to show you some inspiration over at the Loves Rubberstamps Inspiration Blog.   Mixed media has always fascinated me.   It's not really my style but I used to do a lot of it in Grade School, lol.  I have been inspired by others incorporating their mixed media into their cute and whimsical styles, so I thought I would have a go at it.

MFT BB - Some Bunny
Wink of Stella Clear

For the clouds, I used a Cloud Stencil.   I used a Gelatos Blue and mixed in some Light Modeling Paste.  I used the the tools from the mix and match Gelatos Tool Set.

(Pay no attention to the back ground creative clutter!) You can see I literally took the cap off the Gelatos and like a crayon, I marked on my my re-usable non-stick craft sheet.  (Which, by the way, I saw on another blog that someone had purchased a craft mat and taped on their non-stick craft sheet and just uses it for her mixed media and other projects.  That way it does not roll and you can pull it out any time you need to use it.  I LOVE this.)    Then I used the spatula and took out a glob of the light modeling paste.    Then I just mixed them together with the other mixing tool brush.  Then I placed the stencil over the paper and applied the mixture to the paper with the mixing tool brush.  And then I set it aside to let it dry.   I checked back in a couple hours and it was dry.   When I push down on it, it is hard but not the brittle breakable kind of hard, so I would feel comfortable sending this in the mail.  I was very pleased with the texture it added to the clouds and to the card.   Something different.

And since I had ALL those Gelato Colors out:

MIX & MATCH GELATOS GIFT SET from Faber-Castell
I decided to see if I could water color the images I used.

And I did.  Again, I colored onto my non-stick sheet, used an old cheap paint brush and added drops of water to the colors and mixed with the same brush.  For darker areas, I dabbed the brush in water, tipped some of the water off and then picked up the color off the sheet and applied it to the image.   It was so fun and easy.   As you can see, I decided to change the color of the basket after I snapped this picture.

From the Gelatos mixed set above, you can see that there is a couple sponges.  I took a sponge and picked up some of the Gelato and water mixture and then sponged the designer paper and the white paper around the edges to add some dimension.

I had a lot of fun with this one!  I will be breaking out the Gelatos again and again.  I would like to add some more mediums to stash.  Laura has a few in her store that I am going to be picking up soon.

Moose You

Hi Friends and Stampers,

It's my turn to post on the Loves Rubberstamps Inspiration Blog today.  I have a couple stamp sets that I just have to put away for now, lol.   I love this Moose stamp set by Sugar Pea Designs.  If you love it and have to have one too, just send a quick email off to Laura and she will get this one for you.  With so many new stamp companies, it's really  hard to keep up on all the new releases, and Laura has not been feeling well for quite a while now, her Grandma was just in the ICU and now her son is very sick with Scarlet Fever.  So if it takes a bit to get a reply from an email, you will understand why.

Sugar Pea Designs - Merry Christmoose

I airbrushed the sky with my Copic Markers, colored the cute Moose with Copic Markers and then fussy cut him out and added him on to the airbrushed layer.  I also added the tree on to the this panel.

I hope your Holly-Day Monday is a good one!  The boys are off school today, so it's free Ipad day and running around outside.  I have a few chores to get caught up on and then I plan to spend most of the day getting inky, lol.   I hope you have had a chance to play in our current challenge!

Have a great day!

Get A Load of This

Hi Friends and Stampers,

Yep I really loving this new Keep on Trucking stamp set by Your Next Stamp.  And since the new sketch is ironically close to my last one and it's perfect for these truck images, I decided to play again.  There are a plethora of stamps they have that I so dearly desire, lol.  I would like to thank them for making me their featured stamper.   As soon as DH has a minute, I'm going to have him add my badge that I was not able to figure out how to do, lol.

I air brushed the sky with my Copic B34 and grabbed an older paper pack, MME Gnome Sweet Gnome.  And then I used this paper on three other cards, lol.   I love it.  I'll be sad when it's gone, lol.  When I stamped the sentiment, an ever so slight red line was accidentally placed in the left hand corner by my acrylic block.   I didn't even see it on there.   But you know how red is right?  So I die cut a sun image out and added it to the corner.  Which actually worked out better all the way around, lol.   I stamped my dump truck and colored with Copics, Then I fussy cut it out.....wishing I had the dies that automatically do the fussy cutting for you, lol.  I have a cutter that makes wavey lines, so I am glad I got it out and dusted it off for these cards.  Sure makes that part so much easier.

I've really enjoyed these two days off.    I ran some errands today.   Had to go to the post office to send a card to Scotland for a card swap.  I ended up sending a couple goodies with it.   Who knew I would have to fill out a customs form, lol.   There is a lady in town who does clothing alterations.   She has a shop across town, so I headed that way today.  She only charges me $5.00 to adjust the length of my sons jeans and they come out looking just like I bought them that way.  I LOVE that!   Since I had to trek all the way over to the East side, I decided to stop at my favorite Mexican Food restaurant for a couple chili verde burrito's to go. Yum.  Now I am posting this card, changing the laundry, going to do some vacuuming and then head on over to get my Grandson from School.

I hope you are having a great day!

Show me some Red

Hi Friends and Stampers,

It's time for a New Challenge over at Loves Rubberstamps Challenge Blog.   This week we want you to show us some Red.  Here is my take on this challenge.

I love these Art Impression Images, they crack me up!  There is an element of truth in them.  My poor Joe, works so hard at work, home, with the boys, the house, some times when he finally gets the TV and has time, this is how he ends up.  Some times this is how I end up during football season, lol.  But we are at that age where it really is okay.

I stamped the image on Copic X-Press It Paper, in Memento Tuxedo Black, colored with my Copic Markers.  Then I fussy cut the image and added it on the designer paper.   The sentiment comes with the image.  I did add a bit more hair to him, so he would be more Joe-Like.

I hope to see your fabulous cards this week.  Even if there's a little bit of Red that is okay.  I figured with Valentines right around the corner, there would be a lot of Red going on out there in blogger land.   Be sure to check out the New Items Laura has added to her store.

Thanks for checking in on me,

Holly

I will be entering in these challenges:

Follow Your Heart

Hi Friends and Stampers,

Sorry I am a bit late today sharing my inspiration, for the Loves Rubberstamps Inspiration Blog. That  whole day late and a dollar short thing really is applying here, lol.  I did make a card the other day for today, but that whole, getting a picture and posting thing seemed a bit difficult to do, lol.

This was a quick and easy card.  I offset the sentiment and stamped it twice.   At first the black color didn't really seem to fit.  Then I tried it in Red and it seemed to disappear in the hearts and then came the ah ha moment and I offset them and it worked for me, lol.

Love is in the air and Valentines Day is looming on us.  I have been having some serious discussions with my husband about how every day life seems to take us away from who we are and what we want out of our relationship.  I know Valentines Day is a big commercial Holly-Day that drives men out for flowers and candy and couples flock out to restaurants for dinner.  Sometimes there are proposals, sometimes weddings, sometimes jewelry is involved.   But for couples who have been together as long as me and my hubby, it's a reminder not to celebrate and nurture the relationship for just a day, but rather most days of the year.  So that's what we have decided to do.   And that's why there is no set path, you just need to follow your heart.

I hope I have inspired you today.   You will want to see all the New Items Laura has added to the store.  As well as check out our current Challenge

Hi Friends and Stampers,

Before I share my Monday Inspiration with you, I wanted to post about Bubby Everson.  He has terminal CMV and this is his birthday month.   Bubby loves cards, letters, junk mail and stickers.  Won't you join me in sending Bubby some mail?  Here is what I made for Bubby.

I had fun making this one.  I Airbrushed the sky a bit different.  I was going for billowy clouds, lol.   I airbrushed the waves using a stencil from MFT, (coming to the Loves Rubberstamps Store soon.) I stamped the image and added a few little images that comes with the set.  Then I colored with my Copic Markers.

I am entering in this weeks Simon Says Challenge - Bright and Beautiful colors.

I dig you

Hi All,

Two post in one day, two days in a row, wow.  I never get to do this, lol.   Days off in a row and boys going camping sure helps out a lot, but man oh man, I am behind on some house work, lol.   There is always next weekend I suppose. lol.

I saw this fabulous sketch on, "Your Next Stamp" and wanted to play along.  I recently purchased these cute Keep on Trucking stamps and wanted to use them with their sketch.  I actually made this yesterday but then the game started and I ran out of daylight, lol.

I didn't play along with their color challenge but it was a great sketch.  Now I have a boy card made to put in my stash for when my son has a friend who has a birthday. Yeah!

I have spent the whole morning catching up on comments and just now started a load of laundry.  I thought I was done with the laundry and then the happy campers came back home....ughhh.  lol.
Tomorrow is back to work for me, so I'm going to do some laundry and get the kitchen and bathrooms cleaned up and hopefully have time to make a design team card.

Thanks for checking in on me,

Holly

School Bus

Hello Friends and Stampers,

It's my turn to post on the Loves Rubberstamps Inspiration Blog today.  I wanted to make a thank you card for Reed's teacher this year and so I came up with this.

I love all the Birdie Brown Images, each one in the sets are adorable.  I thought this School Bus paper would be perfect but now it does kinda look like a little much, lol.

So did you watch the Super Bowl?  Wow, what a close game and both teams just played their hearts out.  I enjoyed it after a two week withdrawl from football, lol.   Now I have to go til August again, lol.   But it's fun and it's probably a good thing I have a few months off to get some stuff done around here, lol.

Laura is adding some exciting New Items to the store, so you will want to hop over and take a look.  and you still have a few hours left to play in our Pink and Girly Challenge.

Thanks for looking in on me.

You have my undying love...

Hi Friends and Stampers,

Just a quick post today.  I'm playing in the Sugar Pea Sketch Challenge and wanted to make a zombie card.  I had to add some eye lids to him, just didn't seem right with the bulging sockets, lol.

SPDSS19

This actually isn't the color of a dead person, but I thought he'd be a lot more fun in blue violet colors, lol.   Here is the inside.

I just got this little tiny paper pad from Stampin Up and I love the papers!  It's in their mini occasions catalog.  Well, it's not so mini anymore, lol.

I have post Super Bowl let down now, lol.   That was a great game and it didn't matter who won to me, but I was kinda fond of Wilson, he seems like a good kid.   It wasn't his play call, not his fault the pass was picked off.  I am still not sure why they had him throw it down the center instead of to Lynch but that will be a question for many years to come.   The fact that both teams made it to the Super Bowl means they are both fabulous teams and should feel like winners tonight.

Okay, I'm back tomorrow morning with a new Post for Loves Rubberstamps,

see you then.

Holly

Hello Life

Hi Friends and Stampers,

One of my New Year Resolutions was to do at least one layout a month and last night I stayed up super late and got this layout done!!!!  Whoot.  I saw this layout on Lyssa's Blog from Song of My Heart.   So during our Stampin Up club night, I ordered the stamps and got the free Sale-A-Bration paper.  I didn't have the exact same colors and I changed a few things, but I really loved her layout and decided I NEEDED to KopyKat that one.

If you are following me on Facebook, you know the other News Years Resolution was to get 30 minutes of exercise in, in 30 consecutive days.   We had all year to get this done.  We went walking on January 1st and even though my back was acting up and my legs and feet hurt, we muscled though it.  About half way there, there was no way we were gonna stop.   And now, after taking the weekend off, we have decided to go double or nothing.  Still just walking but it's been great for me and Joe, the kids and the dogs LOVE it!

Thanks for checking in on me,

Holly
