Hello and Happy Tuesday!

It's time for a new Challenge over at Loves Rubberstamps!  April Showers -
Think - Rain Showers, Wedding Showers, Bridal Showers, Baby Showers.  I chose a cute image from one of this weeks sponsors,  Paper Nest Dolls.  Thanks so much for providing the Design Team with adorable images to use.  We are also sponsored by Eureka Stamps this week, so we have prizes galore to win!

Products used:
Paper Nest Dolls - Playing in the rain
Spellbinders - Frame
Copic Markers

I colored up this cute image and scene with my copic markers.  I paper pieced the umbrella and matching hair bow.

Also, you do not want to miss out on our Sunday Blog Hop and comment to win.  Laura has listed her Design Team favorites on her blog.

I miss the weekend and wish I could go back and do it again.  On Saturday I went for an ALL day workshop with Irina from La La Land Crafts.  OMGosh 11 hours of pure wonderfulness.  She is so artistic and out of the box.  She has the great ideas.  I just love going to her workshops and cannot wait til she comes back again.  If you ever get a chance to go to one, you will not be sorry.  I will be showing you my project soon, I promise! lol.

On Sunday, I hung out with the family.  We went to brunch, then we went to Michael's and shopped for a craft project and then we came home and got started on our shoe-box float of California!  FUN!

I cannot wait to see your wonderful creations on the Challenge Blog.

Thanks for Looking and for your kind Comments.

Tulip Way

Happy Holly-Day Inspirational Friday!  I feel so great this morning.  It's my day off and I got to sleep in.  So I got a little catch up on my sleep and I still feel like I  have a whole day to do what I want!  Whooo Hooo!  I tend to stay up to late and sleep deprive myself all week long, lol.  I know, such a child.
Oh and it's payday!  And I worked extra on this paycheck.  I know where I am going Shopping!

Actually this is going to be a great weekend.   Guess who is coming to town to the LSS?  Yep, The La La Land Lady herself!  So I'm in workshops all day tomorrow!  Fun!!!  I love these cute little images as well and I love learning how other people put their own spin on creating.  It gets the mojo juices flowing and I love that feeling.

For today's card, I combined MFT Springtime Wishes with Magnolia Tulip Walkway.  I was not sure if the the scene stamps would work with my MFT gals, but they are PERFECT!  Thank God today is payday so I can pick up a few of them before you all run and grab them all up, lol.  Laura has a few of these scenes in her store, so I am so excited I decided to "try" it out.  When I first saw the tulip walkway scene,  I knew it would go perfectly with the Springtime Wishes Tulip gal.

Do you know how to put a scene with a stamp image?  First I inked up my Spingtime Wishes gal (with Memento Black Ink) and stamped her onto Copic Paper.  Then I inked her up again and stamped her onto scratch paper.  Where I work, vendors are always coming in and giving us sticky note paper with their logo on it.  So I just use these because they are all various sizes.  Then I fussy cut out the girl.  You don't have to be exact and I did not cut out the flowers or stems.  Then I put removable dotto on the scratch paper cut-out.  And then I inked up my Magnolia Tulip Walkway and stamped it on scratch paper.  And I hold it next to the MFT gal and get an idea where abouts I want to stamp this image over her.  I knew I wanted her feet about center with the walkway.  And then I reink it and ink it on top of the Springtime Wishes gal that is covered with fussy cut scratch paper.  Then I airbrushed and was careful around the ground border.  And then I remove the scratch paper and viola.  I have the perfect Outdoor Scene.  Then I colored with Copics, stamped the image onto paper and fussy cut out the dress and bow and glued them on with the best glue ever

I used this weeks sketch from MFT,  Echo Park Paper - Sweet Girl, and MFT Crown Border, that I added some pearls to the tops of the crowns and then added pearls to the top of the card.

I hope you have a great weekend and have a chance to play in our Challenge - The Great Outdoors.  And go shopping for borders and cute little images!!!

Thanks for Looking and your kind Comments.

Mashi Muffin's Dad

Hi Stampers!

Happy Wednesday.  I hope you are having a great week and see that Friday is in sight! lol.   It's time for a New All That Scraps Challenge!  And it's my favorite one, Anything Goes!  I am using the new Mashi Muffin's Dad.  Isn't he great! I love the Mashi Muffin line and Dad is fabulous.  It gives me a chance to stock up on my Man cards which is something I am behind on always, lol.

Actually, my Mom usually takes my supply of cards every few months with her.  She loves looking at each one of them and then deciding which lady will like which cards and then she sells them for me, lol.   The one's she can stand to get rid of, that is.  But she has fun doing this and then I am motivated to make more cards to replenish my stock again.  Whatever works huh?

I used this fabulous sketch from Sketch Saturday.  The paper is from Crate Paper 6X6 pad that I picked up fairly recently at the Local Scrapbook Store.  Love this paper and it goes so well with masculine images.   I will definitely be reaching for this pad of paper again.  I colored my man up with Copic Markers.  And he is off to work! lol.

If you decide to play with us here's what you need to know:
  • Your project must use a C.C. Designs stamp, including - AmyR, Drozy's Darlings, Mashi's Muffins, Sweet November, Lil Lads & Lolitas & Webbie's Words. It will be deleted if not.
  • Link up with Inlinkz by May 7th. This challenge will run two weeks.

The Great Outdoors

Hello and Welcome to another great Tuesday and a New Challenge for Loves Rubberstamps - The Great Outdoors - Create an outdoor scene.  This week we have The Paper Shelter sponsoring us and I would like to thank them for the adorable images they provided the Design Team to use. I chose, Adorable Cowgirl.   I printed her out twice.  Once on Copic Paper and once on printer paper.  After I colored her with my Copic Markers on the Copic Paper, I fussy cut out the printer paper image and used my air gun for spraying the clouds and ground.  I also used MFT Die-Namic Fence Die, Grass Die, Blue Prints 1 die and Sun Die.  I also used the Best Glue Ever!

It is definitely Spring time here and feels like Hot Summer weather is right around the corner.  I did not get the planting I wanted to get done this year, but I have lots of other things to keep me busy, lol.  I just love seeing all the green and the blooms and the new life Springing forth.  So I am loving the great outdoors.

I hope to see your fabulous creations in our new Challenge.

Thanks for Looking and for your kind Comments!

Cruising Chloe

Hello and Welcome to my last Design Team Post for Sparkle Creations Rubberstamps.  I would like to thank Sparkle for asking me to be on her team.  I love her stamps, the images are so adorable and the quality is great.

Time for a new Challenge, this time it's a fabulous sketch design.  I couldn't get enough Washi tape after the last challenge, lol, so I decided to use this Washi tape that I picked up from Michael's.  I had Cruising Chloe in mind when I bought it, lol.  Have you ever done that?  Seen something that would go perfect with this or that image you have?  I do this all the time, lol.  My papers are from MME "Memorable" 6X6 pad.  I colored this image up with my Copics.

So Sorry I missed my Friday Holly-Day.  We had a family emergency.  Our living room wide screen TV went kaplunk.  Like 13 years ago I bought a 55 inch wide screen TV and was huge!  And it finally gave up the ghost.  When I bought that TV, it was delivered and the guys set up the cable and gave me an in service on the remote.  Which was as easy as the one before that I bought, plugged it in and hooked it up to the black cable cord.  Well, times have changed haven't they?  And wide screen TV's range in price like I cannot believe!  We finally settled on an LG at Sam's Club at 8:30 pm, lol.   Yeah, we closed with Sam's, lol.   Then we brought it home and Joe ran out to buy a wall mount.  They we became carpenter's, lol.  I got an in service on the hooks ups and finally at 1:00 a.m. we went to bed....GEEZ!  So much for time to make Friday's card.

But Friday's card, like nearly everything else on Friday probably would have been ignored.  My mind, heart and prayers were with Boston.  What a day and what a scene that unfolded.  Wow.  From the President, to the FBI, to all the officers involved, I was super impressed.  Even the press was impressive, lol.  I'm so thankful and grateful they caught them and so timely.  This truly is a great country and a lot of people put their lives on the line for our freedom.  I think this sends a strong message to the world.

Okay, sorry, I digress.  I have used the cute little PI - I wheelie like you, Memento black ink, copic markers, Mix and Match banner Die-namics, Best Glue Ever.  And I found some really cute paper Making Memories - Children at Play.  And I have stayed with this weeks Challenge Theme - Colors of Spring.  I hope you will hop around with us and there is still time to make a card for the Challenge!

I am the last stop in the hop today, Thank you so much for playing along in our hop today! Be sure to stop back by the Loves Rubberstamps Inspiration Blog and let us know what you thought!

Spring Cleaning

Happy Wednesday!  Whoot, Friday is in site people.  This is a reminder post for the All That Scraps Challenge going on right now - Spring Fling.  Meet Mashi's Muffins Mom.  Isn't she cute?  While Mashi is off on Spring Break, Mashi's Moms idea of a Spring Fling is to get the house clean.  Do all that Spring cleaning and if she has some time left over, she is going to do some planting and gardening.  Because that is what Mashi's Mom loves to do.

I'm more likely to get Spring cleaning done if I do some thing every weekend.  Just one thing or one project at a time.  Like rotating disasters, lol.   I am not sure what the next project is but if it's not too hot and nice out this weekend, I think the garage.  The garage is a two car and shop at the back of the back yard near the "way back" lol.  It's separate from the house and tends to be one of our "catch all" places.  We have to actively work on not re piling it up.  How about you?  Any Spring cleaning plans?  I know a lot of people are still stuck under snow and Spring hasn't sprung for them yet.  By next month, we will be in the 90's and headed for a hot summer.  So I am enjoying these mild days a lot.

Can't wait to see your Spring Fling cards, we still have a week to play!  Make sure you read the rules and use only the approved images.

Thanks for Looking and for your kind Comments.

Thoughts and Prayers for Boston

Thoughts and Prayers for the victims and families who were terrorized in today's bomb explosions.  After watching several hours of footage tonight on T.V. there are many thoughts and feelings, but the most positive thought I have is how impressive the first responders were and how the victims were so equally divided between the seven hospitals in the City.  And once the victims arrived, there was already a plan of action and more off-duty hospital staff were on the way.

I've ran mock codes and this is no easy task when you are expecting mass casualty.  Yet I watched as people acted immediately without having to be told and it was amazing to see this through my nursing perspective.  Makes me wish I was nursing in Boston.  So impressive.

All other thoughts are much like yours.  Horrified that anyone would even think of such a thing.  Horrified for the athletes who have spent much of their lives training and working out, who lost their limbs or ability to run anymore.  Horrified for those that ran 26 miles to have such a devastating ending when it should have been joyful and full of celebrating.  Horrified for all three lives lost today and those that are in critical condition.  May God give the FBI and homeland security the right clues and lead them down the right path to find those that are responsible and bring them to justice.

Colors of Spring Challenge

Hello and Welcome to the Loves Rubberstamps Challenge Post, this weeks theme is "Colors of Spring".  I love Spring and I love all the new spring papers and colors.  Before I tell you what I used, I have to tell you how wonderful designing for Laura is.  I did her a favor once or twice and she sent me the MFT's Blueprints 1 die-namics as a thank you!  Can you believe it?  I was so over the top excited, I had to use it right away.  I so wanted this set of die-namics and I will treasure them and use them always!  Thank you so much Laura!  She also sent me my favorite card she created.  I want to take a pic and post in a separate post.  sniff, sniff, I am so touched.

I used the following items on my card:

Die-Namic Oval Stax 1 and 2
MFT PI little Gardener
Die-namic vintage flourish
Die-namic grass
Blue Prints 1
Die-namic Pretty Posies
copics
Memento Black
MME papers

I made this card this past weekend.  I love this cute little pure innocent girl.  She has become my favorite and so you will see her more than this post, for sure!  lol.

We had a very productive weekend.  Saturday we went through all of our closets and tossed the stuff that no longer fits.....I figure if I lose the weight, I will reward myself with new clothes, lol.  I did keep a few but not too many.  My husband did the same thing and we went through my sons closet.  Then we loaded up the truck and took them down to be donated.  My husband logged each article in his Turbo Tax program and calculated we donated $1500.00 in clothes, which will give us a $400.00 deduction next year!  Wow!  Yeah, we so needed to go through our closets, lol.

The next day we had to take our dog in to the vet.  Joe was planning on cutting back the grass in the "way back" area on Sunday.  Well, Murphy's Law you know, and sure enough, our dog was whimpering and whining and yep, little goat-head weed stuck way back in her ear.  So off to the vet and they had to sedate her to get it out.  And yes, my dear Joe whacked every blade of grass and weed back there, lol.  So I feel lucky to have gotten this made, lol.

I cannot wait to see your colors of Spring on the Challenge uploads!

You're Cool!

Loves Rubberstamps Inspiration Post. Oh it's a Holly-Day Friday for sure!  And I am off this weekend!!!  How about you?  Weekend plans?  How many of you are still dealing with the snowy weather?  I keep reading on other blogs and facebook about people getting more snow and it makes me so thankful that we have to "go to the snow".  Something we did not do this year :(   But there is always next year!  For some reason going out and freezing did not appeal to me this year, but by next year I will have missed it enough to go again.

I cannot wait to get some time and mojo together to scrapbook with these Cute Kraftin Kimmie stamps called Snow Day Luca's.  I begged Laura to add them to the store and she did!  I have so many snow-go pic's to scrapbook of my little guy and I love having some little boy images to be able to use on cards for his friends.  I am going to start making a separate "little boy card" pile up.  My Mom came to visit me over Easter and wiped out my stock, lol.  Of course she is welcome to all of them and she loves going through them and showing her friends and then bundling some of them up and selling them for me.  But I have to keep a small stash, lol.

Here is a list of my supplies:
Snow Day Luca's Kraftin Kimmie
Wonky Squares - Spellbinder
Copic markers
Memento Black
First place award banner - shortened in the big shot
Best Glue Ever
Echo Park - Scoot

Have you ever shortened a die before?  It's pretty easy.  I cut out the die with my big shot and then I move the paper over to cover the opposite end to the length I want and then re-cut with the big shot.  I use painters removable tape to keep my paper attached to my dies.  That way I get a nice clean even cut every time.  I have little strips of them attached to my desk where I sit, lol.

I popped up my snowballs to keep with this weeks Challenge Theme - 3D - pop up your images.

Kraftin Kimmie has a few challenges on her blog, so I am entering her getting sketchy challenge.

Spring Fling

Hello and Welcome to the All That Scraps Wednesday Challenge post.  It's time for a New Challenge, so show us your Flowers, Bunnies, Eggs, and anything that represents Spring to you.  Today I am using the adorable CC Design Sweet November Josie's Brella.  Along with a CC cutters four seasons fence die.  I hope you have an opportunity to play along in this Challenge that is running for the next two weeks!

I colored Josie up with my Copic Markers, fussy cut her out, created this scene with my designer papers and fence cut out and then stamped the image again on the paper and glued her down.  I have several 6X6 books that I have taken so much paper out of, they kinda fell apart and have been mixing together, so I am sorry, I cannot "name that paper" lol.  They are from my stash and I loved the spring colors.  I flipped the Sweet Sunday Sketch around and it was perfect for this scene.

I have two Orange Tree's and a Grapefruit tree out back.  The Orange blossoms are blooming and OMGosh the smell is intoxicating.  We have bees that have created a hive in our old cement fence and they love these trees and the trees love the bee's.  So we just kinda steer clear of that area this time of year, lol.  But every winter just before Christmas, I get A LOT of the sweetest California Oranges I could ask for.  Some of the neighbors have caught on and they also get their share of our Oranges.   One of these days, I'm going to get around to planting some Apricot trees back there. A few years ago we planted a fruitless plum because Pink blossoms and Purple leaves make me happy.  Well if you ever had a fruitless Plum, you would know that they are not entirely fruitless.  We get baby plums that fall off pretty easy.  I am not sure why, but my dogs love this fruit that falls from the tree and you can imagine the little messes I find, lol.

Are you planting this Spring?  Enjoying the new blooms and the allergies that go along with them? lol.  I hope you can find something beautiful blooming around you.

I Mustache You

I Mustache Ask you if you like my Monkey Card?  Isn't he adorable?  You want to win him?  Then you will need to play along in our Loves Rubberstamps Challenge this week - 3D image - which means break out your dementionals, pop-ups, or foam adhesives and pop up at least one thing in your project.  It's so easy.  I popped up my frame, the monkey head, the mustache and the tail, lol.  And it's so cute!  lol.  One thing I've noticed over the years is that if you color your image bottom layer, it gives a much more finished look.   And also you want to do your coloring before the fussy cutting.  So the prizes you could win is a STORE VOUCHER, All That Scraps Mrs and Mustache Monkey AND a digi from Eureka stamps!!!!  With prizes this big, I wish I could play in the Challenge again!  lol. I would like to thank All That Scraps for providing our design team with the Mr and Mrs Monkey's for the Challenge.  Laura carries the most adorable CC Designs stamps in her store.

I used the following for my card:

Copic Markers
Spellbinders
MFT Sentiment from PI Bunny Ears
Best Glue Ever
Memento Black

Thank you so much for everyone who played in our last challenge!  I think that was a record!  Loved all the fabulous creations and ideas.  Have you had a chance to comment on our Sunday Blog Hop for a chance to win a store voucher?

Sparkle Creations Washi Tape Challenge

Hello,

It's time for a new Challenge over at Sparkle Creations.  This time we are asking you to use Washi Tape on your project.  Wow, who knew it does all the work?  This is literally a Clean and Simple card!  All I did was put this fabulous Washi Tape on each side of my cute little Nurse Lucy.  Wow, it's almost like a one layer card, something I rarely get to do, lol.  I colored her up with my Copic markers and stamped the sentiment that comes with this image.

I hope you will have time to get our your favorite Sparkle Creation image and washi tape and play along with us.  For inspiration this week and next, head on over to my fellow Design Team Members and see the fabulous things they have done with Washi Tape!

News Flash

News Flash!  Today is a Holly-Day Friday over at Loves Rubberstamps Inspiration Blog
I actually am typing this up on Thursday evening - my day off.  Wow, today was like the shortest day ever!  I made three cards.  That's it.  I looked up and had to text my husband to bring dinner with him on the way home from working and from picking up Jeep!  OMG!  Lazy! lol.  I am a slow crafter and sometimes tend to get lost in my own zen of card making and coloring.  I was expecting it to be about 2 and it was 4:30, lol.  Oh that's okay though, thankfully he appreciates the times when I am wonder woman enough to not care when I am, "The Blob." lol.

Today I am using the cute PI - read all about it.  I inked her up in Memento Tuxedo Black and used my Die-namic Circle Stax 1 and Circle Stax 2, along with the Mini Tabs Quartet.  I used The Best Glue Ever, as well.  And colored her with my Copic Markers

Wish I had another day off but it's back to work tomorrow and Saturday for me.  What are you doing on your weekend?  I need you to tell me so I can live vicariously through you.  lol.  Have you checked out our Challenge?  You know you want to play!  Also don't forget to hop around on our Sunday Inspiration, today's the last day to get your comments in!  And be sure to watch for this Sunday's Blog Hop.  I won't be participating in this one, but I will be hopping around to see all the fabulous designs.  You also don't want to miss next Tuesday's Challenge....EEEEK, I just made the card for that one and I LOVE IT!

Winged Things

Hello and Welcome to the All That Scraps Reminder Challenge post - Winged Things!
We hope you will pick out your favorite Winged CC design stamp and join us in the Challenge.  Please read the rules carefully so that your upload will count towards winning a prize!

I am using Fairy Abigail.  Isn't she sweet?  These cute little stamps are so much fun to color.  I paired her with some butterfly paper I had in my stash.  I colored her up with copics and added some fine glitter to her wings.  I also used the CC design bubble border die

I missed this sketch the last time around, and I really love it, so I am using it now.

Hope you are all having a great week!

Thanks for Looking and for your kind Comments.

Happy Tuesday!  It's time for a new Loves Rubberstamps Challenge - anything goes!  Whoo Hoo.  Today I am using MFT Cute as a button P.I. with a button border die-namic.  Before I put those Primsa colored pencils away, I had to try this Tutorial one more time.  It was fun.  I stamped in Memento Black Ink

If you have not had a chance to comment on our Sunday blog hop for a chance to win a prize, see the post below this.  You do not want to miss out on my fellow design team members fabulous creations and winning that prize!  It's going on all week.

I hope everyone had a fabulous holiday and got some of their Spring Fever Cleaning out of the way.  I sure did!  No, I did not get it all done, but I am happy with the good start I made, lol.  We had a great weekend!  My Grandson came up and we had a birthday party for him at Chucky Cheese and they ran all over the place playing games.  Why does that place give me sensory over load when the kids love it? lol.  We had a great Easter as well and the Easter Bunny stopped by our house and left baskets for the little ones.  After ham, potato salad, and lots of strawberry cream cheese pie, I am thinking about finally getting back to the gym. lol.

I think I am glad to say good-bye to March though, what a whirlwind we have had these past few weekends.  I will be glad to have my weekends free to craft again, lol.

Have a fabulous week!
